to sign up and confirm carpool / meeting location(s).

Event details sometimes change due to weather or other factors.

Start times are when the carpool leaves the meeting location.
End times are estimates.

Degrees of Difficulty:
(E) – Easier: usually on relatively flat ground
(up to 5 miles and/or less than 500 ft. e.g.)

(M) – Moderate: longer and more elevation gain
(over 5 miles and/or over 500 ft. e.g.)

(S) – Strenuous: long hikes and/or elevation gain
(over 8 miles and/or over 1,200 ft. e.g.)

Drive 150 miles r.t.  Hike 7 miles r.t. with 1,600’ e.g. to the topof a Columbia River “landmark “.   Outand back hike with some of the best views of the Columbia Gorge.

Drive 120 miles r.t.  Half of the group will start from the Fort,the other half will drive to Sunset Beach, 7 miles further.  We will all do a one-way Hike 6.5 miles, with340’ e.g.  A ‘Key Pass’ will berequired.

Drive 90 miles r.t.  Hike an 8 mile loop with 500 e.g.  Explore grotto-like canyons inside Portland’s“urban wilderness.”

Tacoma Tour via Amtrak
May 23 @ 8:45 am – May 23 @ 8:00 pm

Depart Kelso at 9:13 a.m.  Arrive in Tacoma 10:53 a.m. Divide intogroups for self-guided tours of museums, other sights, and lunch.  Museums are all within a 22 minute walk oftrain station; admission is extra.  Chihuly Bridge is a 16 minute walk.  Foss Waterway Seaport is a 32 minute walk.  Reconvene at Tacoma Amtrak station at 6:00p.m. for 6:28 p.m. departure, arriving in Kelso at 8:00 p.m.
